Besides the well known THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol), there are hundreds of other minor cannabinoids that also provide therapeutic benefits!

Delta-8-THC

Very similar to Delta-9-THC, or THC the cannabinoid responsible for making you feel high, but less potent. Delta-8-THC causes appetite stimulation as well as pain relief to help reduce vomiting and nausea.

CBGA

Cannabigerolic acid is the precursor to the three major lines THCA, CBDA and CBCA which the produce THC, CBDD and CBC when exposed to heat. CBGA is a known anti-inflammatory, analgesic and has the ability to inhibit cancer cell growth and slow bacterial growth.

CBC

Cannabichromene is most effective when in combination with THC. It’s a powerful anti-inflammatory aid and mood stabilizer that also reduces tumors.

CBL

Cannabicyclol is created when CBC degrades by light or oxygen. Research is still in preliminary stages, but there’s evidence of anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor properties.

CBN

Non-psychoactive cannabinoid derived from THC, unlike the other which are derived from CBG. CBN is activated when cannabis is stored improperly and the THC begins to degrade and turns into CBN. CBN is attributed with cannabis’s sedative effects, its also known to stimulate hunger and provide pain relief.

THCV

THCV has a very similar molecular structure as THC but isn’t as potent and wont make you feel as high. THCV has been found to be an effective appetite suppressant as well as have powerful anti-convulsant properties.

CBDV

Research on cannabidivarin is still in preliminary stages, but there is evidence that it could be an effective anticonvulsant . Some major pharmaceutical compaies are considedring using CBDV in anti-epileptic medications. It can also aid in nausea relief, especially when combined with CBD.

THCA and CBDA

Both are non-psychoactive and are only found in raw cannabis before decarboxylation (heating). Therefore, THCA and CBDA are only effective when cannabis is consumed orally or applied topically in its natural state. The benefits include increased appetite, improved neural function and reduced nausea.
